LA County Library CEO Skye Patrick sits down with renowned Celebrity Chef and Author Edward Lee for an engaging discussion about his latest culinary masterpiece, Bourbon Land: A Spirited Love Letter to My Old Kentucky Whiskey. This delightful book, featuring 50 mouthwatering recipes, has already been hailed as a Best New Cookbook of Spring 2024 by Eater, Epicurious, and Food & Wine, marking an exciting follow-up to his award-winning cookbook, Buttermilk Graffiti.

Chef Lee, the visionary behind the acclaimed 610 Magnolia in Louisville and culinary director of Succotash in both National Harbor, Maryland, and Penn Quarter, Washington, DC, brings a wealth of experience and passion to the table. Known for his engaging presence both in print and on screen, Chef Lee authored Smoke and Pickles and earned an Emmy nomination for his role in the Emmy Award–winning series The Mind of a Chef. Most recently, he wrote and hosted the feature documentary, Fermented and competed in Netflix' South Korean cooking show, Culinary Class Wars. As the founder of the Lee Initiative, Chef Lee is dedicated to fostering the next generation of culinary talent through impactful programs that promote diversity, equity, and sustainability in the restaurant industry.
